MARY BOND DAVIS performed on Broadway as Motormouth Maybelle in
Hairspray. The Women; Jelly's Last Jam; Marie Christine; Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk; Show Boat; Mail and Grease round out her Broadway credits. Off-Broadway credits are Scapin (with Bill Irwin); Hysterical Blindness... and
In Trousers. Regional credits include Spunk (Cincinatti Playhouse in the Park); Fascinating Rhythm (Hartford Stage); Abyssinia (Goodspeed at Chester, Arena Stage, North Shore Music Theatre); Shout Up A Morning (La Jolla Playhouse, Kennedy Center); Heartbeats (Old Globe); The Rocky Horror Show (San Diego Repertory) and Six Women With Brain Death...(Los Angeles Theater Center). Ms. Davis has appeared in seven tours of Ain't Misbehavin' on four continents. In 2001, she toured with Ann-Margret in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

Being a native of Los Angeles has made it possible for her to be exposed to several mediums of show business. Her radio, nightclub, commercial, cable and music video appearances are too numerous to mention. She has been in the films New York Minute; Romance and Cigarettes; The Preacher's Wife; Jeffrey; Hook; Coming To America; The Art of Dying; and Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life is Calling. Some of her television appearances include Twin Peaks, The Bing Crosby Christmas Show (with Fred Astaire), Gimme A Break! as well as the pilots Piece of Cake and The City.

Ms. Davis was nominated for an L.A. Weekly Award, a San Diego Drama Critics Circle Award and an N.A.A.C.P. Image Award. She is the recipient of three Drama-Logue Awards.
