A flashback to the 60’s and 70’s rock groups, The Delivery Girls present a fun filled night of rock and roll; you won’t sit still with their reinterpretation of recognizable songs from the greatest period of rock. Three talented ladies front a world class band and turn out their unique arrangements of some of rock’s favorite hits.
The Delivery Girls is the brainchild of Mary Carey, who returns to the stage with a series of cabaret performances at The Metropolitan Room and New Jersey Performing Arts Center in 2007 and 2008, Mary pursued her dream of creating a vibrant, exciting show through her love of tight harmonies and some of the greatest rock and roll acts of the century.
Mary has recruited a first class group of performers, all accomplished in their own right. Tracy Stark, The Delivery Girls Musical Director, won the 2008 Dottie Burman Songwriter Award, as well as the 2008 MAC Award for Piano Bar. In 2006 Tracey won the Bistro Award for Musical Direction.
Mary is thrilled to have her daughter Amie Carey join The Delivery Girls. Amie comes from a very successful acting career, with leading roles in SubUrbia with Parker Posey and Giovanni Ribisi, Dog Park with Janeane Garofalo and Natasha Henstridge, Archibald the Rainbow Painter and The Confession. In her best known television role, she starred as Adam Arkin’s love interest in two seasons of Chicago Hope. Amie is an accomplished singer and brings a sultry, smokey voice to the group.
April Henry comes from a family of performers and is an accomplished actress and singer. April was a nominee for the prestigious Carbonell Award for best actress. She has been featured on the E Network and performed at Sunfest, and has performed at NJ Songwriters Circle and was featured on NY1. April has a distinctive voice that can best be described as Gospel gone Rock!
