Christiane Noll

Christiane Noll, New York-born, New Jersey-raised actress came to the attention of the theatre-going community when she toured and made her Broadway debut starring in Jekyll & Hyde, creating the role of Emma. For this she received a nomination for Best Actress in a Musical from the Friends of New York Theatre and a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Touring Musical.

Since then, Ms. Noll has been living up to her reputation as being “one of the most versatile actresses in the American Musical Theatre.” With her “crystalline voice,” she has guest-soloed with Marvin Hamlisch and The Dallas Symphony, The Pittsburgh Symphony, and The National Symphony as well as with Royston Nash and The Cape and Nashua Symphony Orchestras, Don Pippin and The Palm Beach Pops, Jerusalem Symphony and The St. Louis Symphony, as well as Peter Nero and The Philadelphia Pops. She recorded and released three solo CDs, “CHRISTIANE NOLL – A BROADWAY LOVE STORY (Varese Sarabande Records), “LIVE AT THE WESTBANK CAFÉ”, (Car-Jam Records), an evening of jazz with long time friend and composer, jazz pianist David Budway and the most recent release “THE IRA GERSHWIN ALBUM” (Fynsworth Alley). She supplied the singing-voice of Anna in the Warner Bros./Morgan Creek animated feature The King and I and she surprised audiences yet again when she returned to the Broadway stage starring in It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues. In the fall of 2007 Ms. Noll created the role of ‘Elizabeth’ in the new musical, Frankenstein, off-Broadway at 37 Arts opposite Hunter Foster.

Christiane appeared in the out of town Broadway tryout of the new musical The Mambo Kings and Witches of Eastwick. In 2004, she performed the title role in Goodspeed Opera revival of Jerry Herman’s Mack and Mabel, and toured the United States in the Tony Award Winning Musical, Urinetown. Prior to that she performed the female lead in New Moon at City Center’s Encores! Series, The Baker’s Wife at The Goodspeed Opera House, supervised by its composer Stephen Schwartz and the new Krieger/Russell musical, Kept, in its tryout run at Theatreworks in Palo Alto, California.

NOLL SINGS WITH A RICHLY TEXTURED BROADWAY VOICE AND CUTS A SWEET, STATELY PRESINCE.
Robert L. Daniels - Variety

FEW ARTISTS CAN MATCH NOLL’S VOICE FOR PURITY AND SWEETNESS.
- Billboard.com

NOLL VIRTUALLY STOLE THE SHOW WITH “TILL THERE WAS YOU”
AND A HILARIOUS “SOMEWHERE THAT’S GREEN”.
Joseph McLellan - Washington Post

NOLL TURNS UP THE HEAT IN CSO PRODUCTION. THE CONCERT WAS A SHOWCASE OF NOLL’S IMPRESSIVE TALENT NOT ONLY AS A SINGER BUT ALSO AS AN ARTIST OF THE MUSICAL STAGE.
Johanna Crosby - Cape Cod Times

NOLL PROVED TO BE A SINGER ON UNCOMMON VOCAL RANGE AND CHARACTER DEFINITION.
Jane Vranish - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

NOLL WAS WONDERFULLY WACKY IN STEPHEN SONDHEIM’S “GETTING MARRIED TODAY”. HER RANGE IS WHAT IS SO IMPRESSIVE – NOT JUST VOCALLY BUT STYLISTICLY. SHE SEEMS DESTINED TO BECOME A BIG BROADWAY STAR.
Kristian Dorsey - The Day Arts

IT WAS CLEAR THAT AS A SINGER, ACTRESS, AND ENTERTAINER, NOLL REALLY DOES HAVE IT ALL.
Harry Cherkinian - Shepherd Express

NOLL’S STYLISTIC VERSATILITY IS APPARENT; SHE’S SWEETLY VULNERABLE.
Michael Portantiere - In Theatre

NOLL POSSESSES ON OF THOSE RARE VOICES THAT SHIFTS EFFORTLESSLY BETWEEN RICHLY MELODIOUS AND PLAYFULLY HONEST. THERE ARE FEW VOCALISTS WHO COULD PULL OFF THE THEATRICAL DEMANDS THIS MUSICAL STORYTELLING REQUIRES WITH BOTH THE CHARM AND LUSHNESS NOLL OFFERS.
Jeff Rosen - Gay Chicago Magazine

NOLL’S UNASSUMING AND UNPRETENTIOUS STYLE ONLY SERVES TO UNDERSCORE HER IMPRESSIVE TALENT. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING ONE COULD SAY IS THAT THE EVENING ENDED SO SOON.
Bill VanSant - Essex Journal
